About myeabook
What myeabook is
myeabook is an analytics service for MetaTrader 5 (MT5) reports and a market-data section. It turns MT5 Strategy Tester reports and account statements their owners export into documented performance records. Anyone can use the market pages, among them exchange rates, announcements, an economic calendar, futures positioning, market hours, currency correlation and trading calculators.
Where the market data comes from
Published figures come from the organisations that publish them: the European Central Bank, the US statistics agencies, Eurostat, the Office for National Statistics, Statistics Canada, the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the central banks and the CFTC. Figures myeabook works out from them, such as US dollar cross rates and currency correlations, and the market hours, worked out from time zones, are explained on the methodology page. Each market page says where its figures come from and links to the methodology page, which names every publisher and links to its licence.
Values as published, nothing invented
Figures are shown as their publishers released them; on the economic calendar, a previous figure that a new release revised shows what it was before. Consensus forecasts are not shown, because the publishers do not publish them. The economic calendar lists only release dates their publishers have announced. A missing figure is shown as missing, never filled in.
Track records
A track record shows labels for what kind of track it is, where its data comes from and what has been checked. A backtest is always shown apart from an account statement, and no label claims more than the check behind it.
What myeabook is not
myeabook is not a broker, does not execute trades or hold funds, and does not give investment advice. Market data is for information only and is not an offer or a recommendation to trade.
